Marine Weather Warnings - Severe Thunderstorm Warning

While thunderstorms are still occurring in parts of the South East, the risk of
heavy rain has reduced for the time being. There is potential for further severe
thunderstorms over eastern parts of the State this afternoon and further
warnings will be issued as necessary.

Overnight Lucindale recorded 99 mm of rain and a number of places in the Lower
South East recorded 40 to 50 mm, including Mount Gambier where 36 mm fell in one
hour between 5:30 am and 6:30 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.

Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's
website at or call 1300 659 215. The Bureau and State Emergency
Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
